The staff at Shg Hotel Portamaggiore are extremely helpful and attentive. the rooms are spacious, quiet, and equipped with convenient amenities like a mini-fridge-bar, climate control, and an electronic key card. - the hotel's restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and serves delicious food.

It's very noisy.

We greatly enjoyed being there and will certainly stay here again. Pleasant place, spotlessly clean with efficient and excellent staff at the reception desk. - the room was recently renovated and had amenities like tea/coffee and a fridge. - the location was perfect and incredible, not too far from Palazzo Merulana. - Close to a train station, everything was excellent for us.

The units are huge, large with 4 beds.

Booked a double room that came with air conditioning, a private bathroom, and a comfortable double bed.

It's a long walk from the city center.

Good location, good breakfast, cleaning every day, polite staff, free safe.

Small rooms, bar was poor.

I had a flawless stay with excellent food and service, couldn't ask for more.

Tea and fruit juice were a stand out. The restaurant was particularly good which has a nice ambience and good food, I tried delicious dishes. Its location at a medium distance from Solonatura Alimenti Bio was perfect and amazing.

In general, everything is okay.

The room's a little narrow, the shower's small.

The room was recently renovated and well-equipped on lower floors. It had a particularly good location with access to Larger Gate nearby. - I liked how very amiable and highly efficient the staff is.

The hotel is located conveniently for visitors so it’s easy to visit most of Rome’s tourist attractions by foot. I took the bus for the Vatican visit only. The hotel is close to the central transport station (Termini).

The breakfast is Italian style – coffee, bread, butter, jam, croissants. No cheese, no ham, no eggs …. very disappointing breakfast. The breakfast room looks like a poor cantina. The hotel room is very small – aprox 12 m2. The tv is really small and very few stations were available – 3-4 Italians, 1 French (tv5) and 1 German (EuroSport), no English station. The street facing rooms are quite noisy starting from the very early hours of the morning till late at night.
